ABOUT US

Emma and Ofer Shahar of Camp Udim

Camp Udim is our home and our farm.

We’re Emma and Ofer, a small family farm in the center of Israel, where we live close to the land and grow seasonal vegetables and fruit for our family and community.

Farming has taught us to pay attention — to the changing seasons, the life beneath our feet, and the quiet work of growing good food. What started in the garden has become a way of life, shaped by curiosity, patience, and a deepening connection to the land.

We follow organic and regenerative practices, with a no-till approach that nurtures the living soil and the natural systems that sustain it. We believe that caring for the earth is part of caring for ourselves, and that good food begins long before it reaches the table.

Emma is a certified holistic nutritionist, with a longstanding interest in the relationship between food and wellbeing. Ofer is the hands-on heart of the farm, building, fixing, and finding a way to bring things to life.

Through Camp Udim, we hope to share what we grow, bring people a little closer to the source of their food, and make room for a slower, more thoughtful way of living — rooted in the seasons, the soil, and the simple pleasure of eating well.
